  • There are numerous coffee-growing areas in India with different climatic conditions that are suitable for cultivating various types of coffee. Coffee is grown most commonly in regions receiving more than 100 days of rainfall.
  • Coffee is harvested manually in India due to the country’s mountainous terrain. Therefore, manual harvesting is the only practical way to collect coffee from India’s forests.
  • Located in South Asia, India is the third-largest producer and exporter of coffee in the region. It is also the sixth-largest producer and fifth-largest exporter worldwide.
